No visit to Barcelona would be complete without experiencing the sights and sounds of the Mercat de Sant Josep de La Boqueria, a bustling food market off La Rambla. It’s easy enough to spend hours in here without buying a thing, just taking in the atmosphere, vibrant colours and people, though I’d be amazed if you could make it all the way around without trying the fruit smoothies, exquisite chocolates or tapas and a beer at one of the bars dotted throughout. From seafood to fungi, fruit, nuts, meat, cheese and sheeps brains there is something for everybody here!
